Step 1
Start by dragging your pallet onto your lawn. Saw the pallet into three equal parts, with the same number of boards left in each segment.
Step 2
Take your 3 parts and carefully remove the “stumps” – or little slats – from the back. Don’t break them or saw them, because you’ll need them later on. Instead, pry them off gently.
Step 3
Next, pull the center blocks off and place them to one side for use later on. Hammer in any nails that may be protruding.
Step 4
Any pieces that you’ve already removed will be needed later, so put them to one side. The blocks from the center piece will become the ‘feet’ of your flower bed, while the stumps from Step 2 will be your ends.
Step 5
Now it’s time to assemble your flower bed. The middle third will act as the bottom and the other two segments will serve as the sides.
Step 6
Take the stumps from earlier and use them to fill in the sides at either end.
Step 7
Last but not least, the flower bed’s legs should be put in place (the center blocks from earlier).
Step 8
Fill your new flower bed however you wish … and your done, as simple as that. Who would have thought this was once an ordinary, old pallet?
