Tick bite signs and symptoms:
- Fever/chills of varying degrees
- Aches and pains including headaches, fatigue, and muscle aches
- A rash, including the “Target” lesion representative of tick bites
These symptoms may arise a few weeks after a bite. It would be best to seek a professional opinion.
Ticks are mostly found in woodlands, grassy areas, and along hiking trails. If you walk through one of these, don’t forget to check for tick bites: key indicators include a red and slightly inflamed portion of the skin with a black protruding element.
Do you or someone you know live in a wooden area and should be on the lookout for tick bites? If so, please share! Lyme disease can be life-changing in the worst way.
