Landry was only nine months old when doctors were forced to operate on his brain. The boy was diagnosed with AVM, or arteriovenous malformation of the brain, which means that the blood vessels and veins in his brain are abnormal and can rupture and cause internal bleeding in his brain or spinal cord.
Make-A-Wish decided to give Landry what he’d always wished for. The six-year-old’s dream was as obvious as it was selfless—he wanted a big tree house so his brothers and sisters would have a fun place to play.
Make-A-Wish loved the idea and asked Landry to submit a list of everything he wanted in his dream tree house.
They started construction…
… And soon, it was time to celebrate.
Make-A-Wish didn’t just build Landry a tree house. They built a luxury home where Landry and his siblings can enjoy long afternoons in the backyard.
There’s a large deck.
A charming interior.
Opportunities to climb.
And a zip line!
So what does Landry think? “It’s really fun to play in our tree house,” he said.
